Our dock isn’t just Instagram-worthy—it’s your gateway to some of the best snorkeling on Roatan’s west side. The reef begins directly below the blue door. No boat needed, no reservations required. Just grab a mask and slip into water so clear that you may spot eagle rays before you’re waist-deep.
Want to explore further? Our complimentary kayaks are yours to paddle toward Spooky Channel, one of the island’s legendary snorkel sites just minutes away. Or chart your own course along the coastline—hidden coves and quiet stretches of sand reveal themselves to those willing to paddle past the obvious.

Are there TVs in the room?
No, our rooms are designed for relaxation and connection with nature. However, we offer high-speed WiFi if you wish to stream on your personal device. You can also find a collection of books and board games in the kitchen, complimentary for you to borrow during your stay with us.
Will I need bug spray?
Yes! You’ve likely already heard about Roatan’s notorious sand flies. These tiny bugs are present throughout the island. We do our part by spraying around the property and regularly raking the sand; however, they’re still around – so prevention is important. Mosquitoes are also present, especially at sunrise and sunset.
We recommend bringing a reef-safe, oil-based repellent made with natural ingredients, or a DEET-based option if you prefer. Being proactive and consistent with repellent will make a big difference. We also carry a locally made, eco-friendly option at the hotel if you’d like to try something produced here on the island.
What is the beach like in front of the property?
Our beachfront rests along a serene stretch of seabed flats, a fragile ecosystem that nurtures countless juvenile fish and marine creatures. While the shallow shoreline isn’t suited for wading, it’s lovely for children to play in the sand and for setting off on a kayak or paddleboard. For swimming and snorkeling, our dock stretches 400 feet into the sea, where the sandy-bottomed water opens into a stunning spot to explore the reef. From here you’ll often spot the incredible sea life that thrives in the seagrass below, and by entering the water from the dock, we help protect this vital habitat together.
Do you have a pool?
We don’t have a pool, but as a beachfront property, the Caribbean Sea is just steps away. Our private dock stretches 400 feet out over the water, offering a quiet place to sunbathe, read, or simply enjoy the view. From the dock you can slip directly into the sea for swimming and snorkeling, where sandy-bottomed waters and the nearby reef make for an incredible natural playground.
What are the restaurant hours?
Complimentary breakfast is served from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM. We begin serving lunch at 12:00 PM, with dinner service going until 8:00 PM. As everything is prepared from scratch, we ask that all orders for dinner be placed no later than 7:00 PM.
On Sundays, we offer a limited menu until 3:00 PM. Please inform the manager by 4:00 PM if you will need a ride into town for dinner.
Is Puerta Azul family friendly?
Yes! While our intimate setting is perfect for couples and solo travelers, we also welcome families. Kids love exploring Roatan’s shoreline, kayaking, and spotting marine life from our dock.
