I've been to puerta Azul a number of times, but this was the first time I brought kids. The hotel went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of.
A day from our family villa in Sandy Bay
The kids are already exploring the winding stone path while you brew the first cup of the morning in the full kitchen. Family breakfast on the patio, then everyone heads to the dock. Parents with books and cold drinks, kids with masks and fins. Late afternoon winds down in the cool of the AC, and you make dinner together with the day's fresh market finds. Evenings at island pace. Nobody wants to go home.

But it is just a two-minute walk to the beach and our private dock where you can snorkel, use our complimentary kayaks, paddleboards and floaties or relax in a beach chair and seek shade under the palapa. Our family-friendly fishing charters and island excursions leave right from the same spot

Step off our 400-foot dock directly onto the Meso-American barrier reef. One of Roatan's best snorkeling sites, Spooky Channel, is practically right out front.
Scuba Diving in Roatan
Dive and Stay packages are available for families, including PADI Junior certification for kids starting at age 10 and the Bubblemaker program for ages 8 and up.

I’m a repeat guest but I brought my kids for the first time. they loved it ! We stayed in a garden villa that had a kitchenette - which is really helpful if traveling as a family. Highly recommend!
