Our four private garden villas are nestled among lush tropical jungle where bird songs are your daily alarm clock. We’re the only Sandy Bay hotel with direct dock access to the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef and located 10 minutes to West End, 15 to the airport, a world away from everything. Rates from $185 a night, with a home-cooked breakfast every morning.

From the moment we were picked up at the airport to the day we were dropped off, everything was seamless. The staff at Puerta Azul truly went above and beyond—more attentive and welcoming than many five-star hotels we’ve stayed in.
The snorkeling right off their dock was fantastic, and the boat tours took us to some incredible spots. If you love being in the water, this place is a dream.
The food was also outstanding—delicious, and beautifully prepared every day. The cocktails were a dream come true!

We stayed here for a full week in early December and had the best vacation!
We liked the fact that it was located in Sandy Bay with its own private beach and dock rather than the West Bay resort area. It was easy enough to get around with taxis or even walking to a nearby restaurant (if you're ok with walking on the shoulder of the road), and we booked a dive package through the hotel where we were picked up/dropped off every day. The hotel staff were all friendly and professional, and the restaurant food was good (try the shrimp tacos and fajitas). Definitely recommend for your trip to Roatan!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The staff was so kind and helpful with whatever we needed. It’s tucked away in a quiet corner of the island right on its own beach, which was lovely to go hang out at the end of their long pier. The rooms were comfortable, quiet, and equipped with everything we needed. The food is excellent and the restaurant, too! Highly recommend and would stay again.
I wanted a nice, relaxing place to stay in Roatan and decided to stay at Puerta Azul, this hotel exceeded my expectations, the staff is friendly and attentive, they treat you like family. Rooms are clean and maintenence is top notch, your rooms are cleaned daily and they make sure to accommodate your needs 100%. Also don't let the relaxing part fool you, you also can make your own exciting adventure from this hotel, snorkel off the dock, kayak, and other adventures that they have ready when you need. It's close to West End and West Bay if you want to visit, you will not regret staying here . I highly recommend this place.
