Approximately 40 miles off the coast of Northern Honduras, 3 tiny islands dot the Caribbean sea. Known as the Bay Islands, it is here you will find Roatan – the largest and most developed territory within the archipelago.
Spanning 48 miles in length and less than 5 miles across, Roatan is known for it’s diverse landscape; featuring lush jungle covered hills, world renowned beaches, and crystalline waters. The island itself is encompassed by the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, providing unparalleled opportunities for exploration within the marine protected area.

Take The Ferry!
Travelers seeking a more scenic adventure can head to the coastal town of La Ceiba, where two ferries await to bring you to our island paradise! The Roatan Dream and Galaxy Wave ferries depart La Ceiba twice delay, providing a reliable and comfortable passage to Roatan.
Puerta Azul is tucked into a local neighborhood in Sandy Bay, just 10 minutes from West End, 15 minutes from the airport, and 20 minutes from the white-sand shores of West Bay.
If you’re arranging your own transportation, ask your driver for “the Blue Door” just past Lawson Rock. Coming from the east, you’ll find the Puerta Azul sign on your right, across from the car wash and mini-market.
For a seamless arrival, we’re happy to arrange a direct transfer from the airport or ferry; just let us know in advance!
