SNORKELING

Snorkeling the Mesoamerican Reef, the second largest coral reef in the world, is a must while visiting the island. What makes snorkeling in Roatán so unique is the proximity from the shore to the reef. From West Bay to the East Side you are never more than 100 yards away from With over 400 species of fish and 70 species of coral, Roatán is a snorkeler’s paradise.

Not to be biased, but we believe Sandy Bay to be some of the best snorkeling on the island! The reef is extremely healthy, there is minimal boat traffic, and different pods of reef breed great feeding stations for hundreds of varieties of fish.
